The National University of Bangladesh is set to release the NU Degree Admission Circular for the 2023-24 academic year. National University’s announcement was issued on the admission portal website on June 5, 2024. The published notice stated that the online application for first-year degree admission in the academic year 2023-2024 will begin on June 5 at 4 p.m.
And the online application procedure will continue until June 30th, at midnight. The initial online application will be free of charge, with a deposit of 300 taka using mobile banking as recommended by the college or directly.
The admission merit list will be created based on the SSC and HSC results of the students requesting admission and then published. In addition, the notification specifies how to apply and the application’s detailed eligibility.

Degree Admission Requirements
To apply for the National University Degree program, applicants must pass the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or equivalent examination and achieve a minimum GPA of 2.00 in both the Secondary School Certificate and HSC examinations.
2024 Degree First Year Admission Requirements
- Minimum GPA 2.0 with fourth subject in SSC and HSC examinations in 2019/2020/2021 and 2021/2022/2023.
- Minimum GPA 2.0 for Bangladesh Technical Education Board students and pass year 2021/2022/2023.
- At least 4 subjects, including B Grade in three subjects, must be passed in 2019/2020/2021 O-Level Students.
- At least 2 subjects, including B Grade in three subjects, must be passed in 2021/2022/2023 A-Level Students.
- Foreign students with foreign certificates must have their secondary and higher secondary level marksheets assessed by a recognized education board in Bangladesh.
- Students unable to participate in the admission process after admitting to honors, honors professional, and degree pass courses in 2021-22 or 2022-23 can cancel their admission in the previous academic year and apply for admission in the 2023-24 academic year.
